The sub domain delegation request letter should be submitted in the following format on the Department Letter head.

Dear Domain Registrar,

As [Title], the head for the [Department Name], I formally request the administrative control of the third-level domain name [xxxxx.gov.in]  to designate NIC to handle sub domain registrations (fourth level). By requesting this, I acknowledge that we are eligible and meet all the GOV.IN domain requirements. In addition, I shall ensure the website content of the requested domain name conforms with the GOV.IN  policy and IT Act of India.

I shall ensure that the departments will sent the Authorization letters for their sub domains. This sub domain names will be used only for official purpose. I understand that the GOV.IN Registrar retains the right to withdraw the delegation of this sub domain at any time.
